THRON X Becomes Reality

The platform’s settings organization has been completely revamped. Now, all primary configurations, including the Product Area Settings, are accessible from a single location, ensuring a clearer and more consistent navigation experience. This streamlines setup and reduces the risk of errors. Additionally, we’ve refined the saving system to provide even more reliable and precise control.

 

 

Your Product Content, Instantly

Locate the assets you need with precision and dramatically reduce consultation time. Starting with this release, the search tools integrated into THRON Platform make finding content associated with one or more products simpler and faster.

Just copy and paste one or more product codes: the smart search engine and advanced filters will deliver a precise and reliable selection of all digital assets linked to your products.

Thanks to this feature, searching becomes a straightforward process, allowing you to retrieve exactly what you need in just a few clicks to update catalogs, prepare product sheets, or manage complex projects. The result? A more streamlined and organized workflow that lets you work quickly and efficiently while ensuring consistency and reliability in your data.

 

Quick Access to Products from Content Details

The features introduced with this new release are designed to make workflows involving content and products more immediate, seamless, and efficient. From now on, customers with the new Product Area of THRON Platform enabled can view products associated with a specific piece of content directly from its details.

In particular, users with the necessary permissions will also see all relevant product information and, using shortcuts, can quickly access the product sheet.

 


 

Control and Consistency with Model/Variant Management

The Launch Edition of THRON X enhances the new Product Area with essential features for advanced product catalog management. In addition to Families, we’ve introduced Model/Variant management, a vital feature for brands with products offering variations based on characteristics like materials, colors, or sizes.

Model/Variant management allows products to be organized through a multi-level hierarchical structure, which simplifies organization and ensures greater information control.

While Families define the structure of product characteristics, variations distribute them across hierarchical levels, enabling information inheritance.

This structure, supporting up to three levels of variance for each variation, is designed to simplify data management, even in the most complex contexts, optimizing product enrichment and ensuring maximum consistency of information across similar products.

This solution is designed to make product management more effective and precise, minimize the risk of errors, and give you ultimate control over product information with scalability and operational simplicity in mind.

New B2B Area. A Tailored Space to Share Your Assets

Designed to meet the needs of the business-to-business world—and beyond—the new B2B Area of THRON simplifies the sharing of any type of resource with your sales team, colleagues, or business partners. By creating a highly customizable and quick-to-deploy private area, this new add-on saves time and ensures materials are always up to date in real time, guaranteeing maximum brand consistency across all channels.

THRON B2B Area allows you to showcase content and products in an organized manner, making them easily accessible to all your partners. Ensure a professional, secure, and personalized browsing experience: with advanced search and filtering tools, your sales network colleagues can quickly find the content and products they need. You can also define specific permissions and access rights for the materials.

The new B2B Area also integrates advanced features for content sharing, such as the ability to instantly generate catalogs and detailed product sheets updated in real time.

Greater Flexibility in Identifier Management

To help our customers make even better use of product identifiers, we have expanded the set of supported characters for the “identifier” attribute to include the period [.]. This update offers greater flexibility and is particularly beneficial for managing complex codes, such as those incorporating materials, sizes, or other specific variables.

This new release introduces significant improvements and optimizations in navigation and user experience.

At the heart of this approach is a more streamlined and faster interface, designed to make your work experience seamless and simplified. At the same time, it enhances the customization of private areas and portals for your collaborators, transforming them into highly customizable environments that consistently reflect your brand identity.

  • Uniform login window design, integrated into the platform’s style and the THRON brand for enhanced visual consistency.
  • Options to include your company logo, customize external sharing pages, and the Player, maintaining a strong visual impact in areas dedicated to partners and clients.
  • March 2025 – uniform color palette aligned with THRON’s identity, enabling an even more intuitive use of the platform’s features along with a cohesive design (any existing custom configurations will remain active until March).

Enhanced organization with Families

With the new THRON X beta update, the THRON X Product Area introduces Product Families, a key data model feature designed to make it easier and more efficient to organize, browse, and customize product attributes.


Families represent collections of similar products, often sold in multiple variants, that have certain attributes in common. Organizing Products into Families facilitates their classification, as each product added to a Family automatically inherits the common structure.

 

 

Features that make the difference:

  • Interactive table: monitor configurations clearly and quickly;
  • Advanced search and filtering: locate and manage up to 100 families while keeping browsing speed high, even with large volumes of data;
  • Tailored customization: add up to 500 attributes per family, configurable to specific product or product line needs;
  • Access control: Families management is restricted to administrators and users with specific permissions, ensuring secure data management.

 

 

Updates

New Product Area Improvements

In preparation for the official release of THRON X, the new Product Area of THRON PLATFORM has already seen several improvements released:

  • Increased text limit: up to 5000 characters now for attributes of long text type.
  • Advanced attribute import: it is now possible to import single select and multi select attribute values in insensitive case mode.
  • Content-product association jobs: can now operate on an entire folder branch, including the selected folder and all its sub-folders.

    You can import and export large amounts of data to share with the wholesales network.

  • Automatic Layout of Printable Materials

    With Dynamic Print Publishing you can create catalogues, product data sheets, brochures, labels, flyers, in seconds, retrieving product information and content from THRON automatically.

THRON X era begins with unified menu

With the constant goal of taking advantage of the most cutting-edge technologies available on the market and continuing to innovate THRON PLATFORM more and more efficiently, we have evolved the platform’s authentication and login standards.

In particular, in addition to the adoption of even more secure and integrated access systems, from this release the login is completely unified.
In fact, it is now sufficient to log in only once to access any section of the platform.

But the good news doesn’t end there.

With this release, in fact, we have also introduced the new unified menu, thanks to which you can instantly explore and be in control of every section of the platform, even those you have not yet activated.

In addition, we have also evolved the design of the navigation bar, designed and developed to provide you with the ability to always be clear where you are and give you instant access to any section of the single platform.

And again, we have expanded the navigation bar and made the tab setting homogenous within the entire platform in order to evolve the UI and make your UX unprecedented.

 

 

The Throne becomes even more Throne-like, so that you can reign in speed and efficiency.

Updates

RTIE’s automatic format and quality parameters have landed in the WordPress connector

From this release you can take full advantage of some of the benefits of Real Time Image Editor for content delivered via the WordPress connector.

In fact, images will now be published in the CMS in the automatic format set within RTIE, without any manual action being required.

In other words, images will be delivered in WEBP format if the browser supports it.

Furthermore, it is possible to select the quality of the delivered asset, choosing between the options auto-high (default), auto-medium and auto-low: more information in this article.

Also on WordPress, automation stands at 100 and manual work at 0.

Fixed

Minor updates and bug fixed relating to the Adobe Commerce Connector (Magento)

With regard to the THRON Connector for Adobe Commerce, we have released some minor updates and fixed some bugs in recent weeks.

Among the fixes, we have:

  • added the possibility to disable/enable the feature of assigning a default price (during configuration) if the “Price” column is empty or absent in the data import file
  • fixed the bug related to developer mode: “Missing required argument $path ofThron\Connector\Model\Filesystem\Directory\Read”.

Updates

External Shares evolve in the name of continuity

You may have noticed: during 2023, we innovated several times the interface of one of the most popular features of our platform: External Shares.

We did this guided by the objective of increasing usability and improving the layout.

In particular, in this latest release our design and development teams have focused on some of the classic sections of the interface, with the aim of innovating the tabs relating to the size and cropping of images of external shares via URL and Embed code.

As of this release, in fact, the section for defining image dimensions (width and height in pixels) has been redesigned and made available in the new External Share graphical interface.

The same goes for the manual cropping functionality, which can be managed through a tab for input of coordinates in pixels, which has been redesigned to make it even more intuitive.

We strongly believe that innovation not only comes from releasing new features, but also from continuously improving existing ones.
